OUr Story:
Hey everyone! I'm Holly Longest. I own and operate Jettin Bye Farm and Rehabilitation.
I started riding at the age of six and worked under various trainers throughout the years. I took in my first few training horses at the age of seventeen which really sparked my passion for training and working with both horse and rider. I could tell early on this is what I wanted to do with my life. My parents have always been supportive of my dreams, even though they were still hoping I would just take up soccer! So after much searching we left our original farm and moved to New Kent County where we acquired more land and set ourselves up to be a top notch horse training facility. I worked over the next few years as a full time RN and horse trainer. The workload was heavy and hard to manage at times but I was doing what I enjoyed. I would often ask myself if I could keep this pace up for the next 40 years and tried to think of other ways to do what I love and not totally wear myself out. Equine therapy kept popping up in my head since I had always had various therapeutic modalities done on my personal horses and saw improvements in them.
Soon after Jettin Bye Farm added " & Rehabilitation" to the name. I researched and toured facilities trying to gather the services that I thought were most beneficial and affordable. Many hours were spent learning each new therapy and how to best put them to use. With the continued support of my loving parents the farm went under construction again to give us our beautiful 36ftx24ft equine rehabilitation room. We now offer haul ins and make farm calls. We work closely with Colonial Downs racetrack since they are located ten minutes down the highway from us. With this new business I've had the privilege of working with many various disciplines and meet many new people in the equine world. I'm happy to say as of August 2019 I went full time with the equine rehab and training! I'm doing what I love so I feel like I never work a day in my life. I'm blessed to have had the support of my family and friends when this crazy dream popped in my head!
So welcome to Jettin Bye Farm and Rehabilitation! Where we offer equine rehab, training, and lessons. I also host personal clinics and bring in outside clinicians throughout the year as well, so keep an eye out for those. The arena is also available to ride and rent out if needed! Come check us out, we would love to meet you and your equine partners!
